Obesity risk increases 31% with bedroom TVs, and 30% of obese children have diabetes. Instead of focusing on the medical aspects of obesity, perhaps giving some print space to this cause of obesity would generate some responsible behavior.

Parents are largely to blame here. Who allowed the dining room table to be replaced by the big screen? Who allows TVs into children’s bedrooms? Who buys the chips, cookies and processed foods to go with the TV shows? Answer: parents.
